Terms and Conditions Custom Art Work Payment Full payment is required before the commencement of any and all work. Deposits of 25% are accepted upon the clients request in order to secure a booking slot and the final payment is required before work can begin. If the client does not request to pay by deposit, the client agrees to pay the full price, including postage costs up front. If the client decides to add additional packages such as framing to their order at a later stage, these will be invoiced separately.
Deposit If the client has requested and paid for a deposit of 20% to secure their booking within the commissions list, but fails to pay the final payment or provide reference images 48 hours prior to the agreed beginning of the drawing, the customer agrees to postponing the start of the drawing until this is done so or when the next space becomes available. If any orders take priority because of delayed payment the customer agrees to postponing their order until the completion of any other customer orders that take priority during that time. If however the customer is unsatisfied with the new rescheduled date the customer will be refunded minus an admin charge of £15.
Cancellations Before the commencement of the artwork - If the client wishes to cancel their order for any reason, it is important that they contact the artist as soon as possible. A refund will be issued minus the cancellation fee of £15, which covers all admin and transaction fees for that order.
During the Art Work Development - Upon the commencement of the artwork, the client will be sent photographs of numerous developmental stages of the drawing. The client agrees to respond to each message sent by the artist regarding the development of the drawing. If the client is unsatisfied at any time, the client must notify the artist immediately so that they can make any alterations and amendments requested. If the client decides they wish to cancel their order at any stage a refund will be made minus the following charges: £15 admin and transaction fee plus the cost of time up to the date of termination.
Completion of artwork and shipping -
The client will be notified of the completion of any and all artwork and be sent clear photographs of the final drawing. This is the final option the client has to specify any alterations or changes they wish to be made. Once the client has stated that they are satisfied with the final piece the drawing will be shipped. If the client receives the drawing and is then unsatisfied, but approved the final drawing prior to dispatch, the client is not entitled to a refund.
Shipping Delays, Charges, Loss or Damage Damage and Loss: I package my portraits to a high standard in card backed envelopes or roll tubes to prevent against damaged during the delivery process, however in the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, the client must notify the artist within 24 hours of its arrival. The client must supply clear, photographic evidence of any and all damage caused in delivery including: moisture and water damage, bent or torn art work. The client must pay for the return of the damaged item. Once the item has been received by the artist, the client will receive either a full refund (excluding return charges) or have any customised art work redone at no additional charge. Please note the redoing of customised art work will be dependent on booking lists during that time.
Postal Delays and Charges UK orders are sent via Special Next Working Day Delivery. Orders can take up to 24 hours to arrive and will need a signature upon arrival. If you are not in you will have to rearrange the delivery. If your order has not arrived please contact Royal Mail with your tracking information for further updates before contacting the artist.
International orders are sent fully Tracked and Signed where available. Orders can take upwards of 21 working days to arrive. Please be aware of potential Custom and security delays as well as any Covid19 and seasonal delays.
The artist has no control over the shipping process once the order has been dispatched and is not responsible for any and all delays once the order has passed to Royal Mail.
Custom charges are the responsibility of the customer and they agree to pay any charges required to receive their order.
If the order is returned to the artist because the customer has failed to collect the item or has supplied the wrong postage address, but wishes the item to be resent the customer agrees to pay additional postal charges to accommodate this. The artist is not responsible for delays occurred if the client is not available to collect their order.
Incorrect Information: If the customer supplies the incorrect shipping information, the client must await the return of the item before it can be re-shipped to the amended address. The customer also agrees that they must pay additional postal charges if they wish the artist to reattempt delivery.
Currency Exchange All prices are quoted in GBP. If a customer resides outside of the UK, checkout will automatically exchange GBP to the clients currency once billing information has been supplied. All payments and refunds are in GBP and the artist cannot be held responsible for any loss due to exchange rate fluctuations.
Gift Vouchers All gift vouchers are non-refundable and do not expire. When redeeming, recipients who wish to use their voucher will be purchasing from our current price list. Customers can use the Gift Card towards an upgrade in size as well. When purchasing a gift voucher, postage is not included and the recipient must pay for the postage of the final artwork. If however you know the location of the recipient and wish to purchase postal charges in addition, so the recipient does not need to pay this, please contact the artist to arrange this option.
Copyright Artist Rebecca Coughlan retains copyright on all artwork and customised artwork, and reserves the right to use the art work on any and all promotional material that relates to the artist, including: Website, Social media (Facebook, Instagram etc.), printed promotional media (posters, pamphlets etc.), third party promotional publications both digital and print (Magazines, News Papers etc.) without the need of written consent from the client. The artist will not reproduce customised art work for financial benefit without the written consent of the client. This includes: producing prints, merchandise, using art work in publications such as books that result in upfront or royalty payments. If the client however, is uncomfortable with having their work displayed on promotional materials, the client must specify and have the artist agree to this prior to ordering. If this is specified once the order has been placed and/or completed it is at the artist’s discretion whether they can adhere to the clients requirements.
